I don't have to tell you how bad the economy has been lately, but if someone must know,

I myself has become one of the millions victims in this slow economy - "i'm temporarily

outta the work force". Sure I got frustrated, but never hopeless. Oddly enough I am probably

having the best time of my life as this transistion period takes place - thanks to my reborn love

life with this charming girlfriend. Things have been kept downplay for some time as I deliberately

approached to this conclusion that it would be catastrophic lost for me not to have her as my

love mate... now we have each other on this expedition, I feel complete and couldn't be more

content. Nevertheless, I will still try to low key my love life, not because I withhold doubtfully about

the future but I take this opportunity so seriously and care about this girl for the love of my life so

much that I can't afford to let impulse get ahead of conscious... yep, she's that nice.

 

... Recently I've been disheardened due to the work crisis and frequently put up a bitter face with my

girlfriend. I realized that it was plainly silly and not worthwhile, afterall she has been so supportive

and understanding to me. Here I accept any complains from her and wanna apologize for my 

dramatic mood - "Hon, I'm sorry".

Time is tough. We are seeking changes just like the whole nation does. My father and I has started

doing some residential electrical repair services. We advertise too. It'd be like a small business.

最近一则关于杭州富二代公子爷胡某在市区飚车肇事撞死行人的新闻在网上闹得沸沸扬扬，众说纷纭。7号的

事发当晚，位于杭州西湖区文二西路，肇事者胡斌驾驶红色三菱跑车由东向西超速行驶，将正在徒步穿过人行

横道的浙大毕业生谭卓严重撞伤。谭卓在送往医院后抢救无效身亡，年仅25岁，留下抚养自己成人的父母和即

将结婚成家的女友。就事论事，这或许不过是场严重的交通事故，但肇事人及其随行朋友对事故的态度以及他

们的家庭背景引发了网友和社会舆论的热议。在关注相关评论几天后，我也忍不住站出来声讨两句。

首先从当时三菱车和谭卓的行径方向以及事发后车辆的损伤情况来判断，肇事人胡斌当时车速非常快，很可能

严重超速。驾驶员坐在车内的左侧，而受到严重损伤保险杠，头灯以及挡风玻璃均在右侧，表明事发瞬间驾驶

员应该能看到行人在自己车辆前方。在这种情况下“反应不及”仍将徒步的行人撞死只可能是因为车速太快，

远远高于事发路段的限速！

至于到底开了多快，根据轮胎在路面上留下的刹车痕迹应该能准确推算出来。而杭州市交警负责人在事发后

事故报告会上陈述车速“大约在每小时70公里左右”。远远低于目击者的估计的车速以及本身对具体车速的

模棱两可都很难让民众信服。同样在事故报告会上，交警负责人还和记者民众权衡“飚车”的法律依据。不

错，中国刑法中的确没有所谓的“飚车”一词，但刑法对这种“危害公共安全”的违法行为是可以判处10年

以上有期徒刑的。如果按照杭州市市长蔡奇和广大民众所要求去严处肇事者，是不是应该附加“危害公共安

全罪”审理此案？！

 

事故本身的严重性暂且不说，真正引发广大社会民众，网友和我的愤慨之处在于肇事人胡斌以及随行朋友在

事发现场的态度。根据很多路人回忆，胡斌在事故发生后还和路边的目击者发生口角，声称“是他（谭卓）

撞的我”。引来路人的愤愤不平和责骂，以致胡斌被交警带入警车内等待处理。与此同时，事发当晚与胡斌

同行，驾驶另外两部跑车的年轻朋友却在现场抽着烟，谈笑风生，丝毫不把受害人的安危以及在场民众的关

切放在眼里。这种“有钱没教养”的典型富二代青少年对人性和他人生命的无视，对社会责任感的缺乏才是

真正让社会担忧，让舆论声讨的问题！

Text-messaging while driving is banned in Va. This Monday

Virginia passed the ban on text-messaging while driving into law, signed by Gov. Tim Kaine. Effective July 1, text-messaging

while driving in Virginia will result in a second degree misdemeanor with fine of 25 dollars. However, police will need a more

serious primary offense to pull a driver over than just texting while driving. The governor will continue pushing the bill for a

primary offense and 300 dollar fine. Just so don't text this news out while you are on the wheel.

the stock market again, after yesterday's short rally following China's

encouraging move on its economy rescue plan (China is still the Big Boss,

suckers!). In Virginia, our unemployment rate has been much below the

national average. But for those unlucky souls ended up in Detroit, My heart

and pray goes out for you.

中心一层的一家餐厅内发生凶案，一名女生遭到袭击。 警方于19：10赶到现场，当场抓获了犯罪嫌疑人，

而受害人已无生命迹象。警方还在现场发现了凶器，是一把厨房使用的刀具。
　　

经过调查，警方对外公布，犯罪嫌疑人是25岁的中国留学生朱海洋（音译），来自宁波，08年秋天入学，

正在攻读农业和应用经济博士学位。 而死者杨欣（音译）来自北京，现年22岁，本月8日刚刚抵达美国，

开始在弗吉尼亚理工大学学习会计专业。

 

案发时餐厅里除朱、杨二人，还有7人。现场一些目击者的证词显示，朱海洋和杨欣当时同在餐厅中喝咖啡，

事先没有发生口角，但朱突然持刀袭击杨，造成后者当场死亡。

 

据悉，犯罪嫌疑人的手段极其残忍，受害人惨遭斩首。 警方目前正在调查朱海洋的杀人动机。校警负责人

温德尔·弗林彻姆说：“被捕时，朱海洋没有对警方说一句话。 ”

 

朱海洋目前面临一级谋杀的指控。他眼下被关押在弗吉尼亚州蒙特马利县监狱，不得保释。

 

警方21日晚通过电话通知了杨欣在中国的亲属。

 

凶手和受害人关系很近
校方国际中心官员金·贝塞克说，因为受害人杨欣刚到学校，校方对她和朱海洋之间的关系了解不多，国际中

心正协助警方开展调查。 但根据校方纪录，朱海洋是杨欣登记的紧急联络人之一，因此证实两人相识。贝塞

克说，由于杨欣初来乍到，朱海洋就帮助她熟悉新环境。这样的互助关系在该校500名中国留学生中是惯例。

2007年4月16日，弗吉尼亚理工大学学生赵承熙(韩裔)在校园开枪打死32人后饮弹自尽，另有20多人受伤，制造

了美国历史上最严重的校园枪击事件。

 

鉴于2007年校园惨案时校方的迟钝反应遭到抨击，这次校警立刻启动电子通讯警报系统，半小时内对全校师生

发出约6万封电子邮件及手机简讯。大约40分钟后，才再度发出短讯解除警报。

就像电影说的, "It was right then that I started thinking about Thomas Jefferson...

actually never have it no matter what". 幸福的生活是一种精神状态，而不是物质条件

的代名词。幸福从来不是与生俱来的，那种天生的幸福只存在于旁人眼里。我们每个人自

己想要得到的幸福是需要每个人自己去不断追求的，不论起点在哪里，幸福的生活是一个

永不停息的过程，而不是结果。在你努力工作或刻苦学习的时候，你就在不知不觉地体验

着幸福。

 

周日上午一个中文频道请了位佛教禅师说道。他说到如果想快乐的生活，就要真诚善待他

人；虚伪欺瞒的人只会在有形无形间受到良心的谴责。自我读了些书以来一直觉得佛教是

最无私最友善的，它教人如何净化心境，如何待人处事，教人相信自己的内心，以德服人。

对此，我心服口服。但佛教怎么能教人如何去生活呢？那些禅师僧侣的物质生活靠的是他

人善意的施舍，这也是他们所崇尚的。而听道的仆仆众生却要在现实社会中过生活，要去

扮演不同角色，换取物质条件来支柱生活。似乎，佛教世界里的人在摆脱物质生活，而现

实世界里的人在追求物质生活。问心无愧的真诚善待他人在这样一个现实世界里并不等于

快乐的生活。

 

数天前一位要好的女生朋友和我聊到"wrongful decisions"。我当时很有感触，回想着自己

近些年做出的一些错误决定，就是这些wrongful decisions一直以来影响着我的"正常"生活，

似乎自己还要为它们纠缠数年。恐怕痛苦也莫过于这样消磨人的意志和光阴。而路依旧要走

下去，日子还在继续，自己还很年轻。男生是如何在他人眼里变成男人的: 是单纯的那一夜

间，还是颜面上的变化。这个问题真的很难说清，但对于每个成长中的男性，我相信这绝不

是一个不知不觉的转变。因为在这个过程中你会碰壁，走弯路，犯错误，而只有你勇敢的承

受了，咽下苦果走了出来，才算是成功的转变。

 

每天我头脑里都在不停琢磨些事情和想法，通常大多数并没有联系，可这些天它们却似乎在

告诉我同一个问题。旁边那幅画叫做: "My Happiness is Riding on Your My Misery"。

do now does not reflect being who I can be tomorrow. One day every

strait that I have overcome will turn into a piece of my success for me

to show off. Until then, it will remain unspoken, and I will hold on my

courage and integrity, keep fighting for the best that awaits ahead.

Better yet, I have already started and I know where I will be 5 yrs,

10 yrs, 20 yrs later.

this is the one shot that tore up my heart everytime when I laid my eyes on:

as if he was looking into the other world, a world that would separate us forever.

 

 

For those who are afraid of owning a pet because of the fear of lose as it passes away one day,

let me tell you how painful it was seeing your beloved company lies down...breathlessly -

your heart would be engulfed by a grave sorrow;

your mind would be corroded by every bit of guilty feeling.

 

Yet, all you have left are pieces of memory.

Astronomical unemployment, evaporating home prices, draining dollar value, wearing presidential

campaign, ... what could be more to hold me worried about during a time when people think about

themselves more than anything else - the relationships between good ladies and suck-up guys. I've

been witnessed happy relationships, and recently I've heard of many rough ones from ladies who I

sincerely care about for various reasons. Rather making those happy folks chesty, it is the rough

ones that I wanna address.

 

When a realtionship struggles, one side of 'the story' always saddens more deeply than the other

does. Complains often fired up from the girls - complains about numerous occassions when they

felt distanted apart from or mis-understood by their loved ones - complains that often ended up

in the mind of a good, innocent guy like me. If you listen closely, you can feel how much these

heart-broken angels still care about their 'relationships'. Don't get me wrong, it is the relationship

 

It is as simple as this - the more you have devoted, the more you'll suffer in the rough time. The

lesson here is that 'don't let your loved one take everything for granted'. If a boyfriend starts to

take your devotion for granted, think what will happen after you commit a long-term relationship

or even marriage to this guy. Remember, there is always the 'DUMP-ster' for a guy like that. Keep

fade away from you. In the meanwhile, don't treat me like just a friend, because I am THE FRIEND.
